Ashley Victoria Benson (born December 18, 1989) is an American actress, singer, dancer and model who portrayed Amy Beck on CSI: Miami on the episode titled Bombshell.

Early Life[]

Ashley Victoria Benson was born in Anaheim Hills, California to Jeff and Shannon Benson and has a older sister, Shaylene. She began completive dancing at the age of 3 in ballet, jazz, hip-hop, and lyrical. She also enjoyed singing and appeared in choir groups and musicals. At the age of 4, Benson was asked to audition for her church while singing solo at four different Christmas services and by the age of 5, she was modeling in dance catalogs, and at 8, she signed with The Ford Modeling Agency and worked in print.

Beginnings[]

In 2001, Benson began her acting career and started working in a variety of commercials including Fashion Polly! Hip Stylin' Stage Polly Pocket and a year later in 2002, she appeared in television shows such as The District as Melissa Howell, The West Wing as Girl, Nikki as Dancer in an unaired episode, and also had a role in a Salon Surprise Barbie commercial and two years later, in 2004, she had a guest role in Strong Medicine as April and she portrayed Abigail "Abby" Deveraux in the daytime soap opera Days of Our Lives. In 2005, Benson had roles in 7th Heaven as Margot for two episodes, and as Candice in an episode of Zoey 101. In 2006, she starred as Riley for an episode in the teen drama series The O.C. That same year she concluded her contract with Days of Our Lives in 2007, she played Carson in the teen comedy film Bring It On: In It Win It, which helped her with overcoming her fear of heights while preforming cheerleading stunts. In 2008, she made a guest appearance as witch Tracy Davis in one episode of the CW series Supernatural, Fab Five: The Texas Cheerleader Scandal as head cheerleader Brooke Tippit, and that same year, she got a supporting role as Alice in the comedy film Bart Got a Room. In 2009, she landed a main role in the fantasy comedy-drama series Eastwick as Mia Torcoletti.

Pretty Little Liars & Other Roles[]

In December 2009, Benson was cast as Rosewood High's "diva" and "it girl", Hanna Marin in the ABC Family/Freeform mystery teen thriller-drama series Pretty Little Liars, receiving numerous awards and nominations for her performance, portraying the character until 2017, when the show wrapped. The following year in 2010, she portrayed Caitlin Quinn in the television film Christmas Cupid and in 2012, she starred opposite Selena Gomez in Spring Breakers as Brit, and guest starred as herself on the show Punk'd, and in January 2013 guest starred as Carly Whittaker on the CBS sitcom How I Met Your Mother in the episode Ring Up.
