Carla Dantini is the murderer of her daughter Sandy.

Carla was dating a new man in her life and feared Sandy would be competition for his affections. As a result, Carla started plotting to kill Sandy. Taking her to the carnival, Carla brought Sandy onto the Love Tunnel ride, with a small pool inside. When hey were alone in the tunnel, Carla forced Sandy out of the seat, breaking her arm when she struggled, and threw her into the water, effectively drowning her in a violent altercation. She then pretended to grieve by screaming "my baby" and calling for help.

Conveniently, one of the staff, Roger Peet, is a convicted sex offender and living under an assumed name, so Catherine Willows, who's highly emotional over crimes against children, doesn't even suspect Carla. However, seeing how Carla looks away when she's lying as a tell, and matching Sandy's broken bones with how and from which direction she was grabbed, reveals Carla as the murderer. Willows confronts Carla at her home, in front of her boyfriend, who is also her lawyer. Throughout the allegations, Carla's speechless, but she only replies by refusing to accept her boyfriend for representation. Carla is then arrested and incarcerated.

Modus Operandi[]

Carla isolated Sandy in the Love Tunnel, forced up the weak seat restraints, twisted Sandy out of her seat to the point she broke her arm, then forced her and held her under the pool inside the ride until she stopped fighting. She then screamed when coming out to feign grief, and conveniently let pedophile Roger Peet briefly take the fall.

Known Victims[]

  • Sandy Dantini (broke her arm and drowned)
  • Roger Peet (framed; was exonerated)
