Modus Operandi[]

Wilton targeted his high school in an attempted mass shooting. Students and faculty were shot at with a Glock 17 and a shotgun, which was the gun also held on Lieutenant Caine and responding officers. This ultimately failed with no deaths and injuries. However, Wilton shot accomplice Mark Hubbard dead with the Glock by shooting in his back and head.

Known Victims[]

  • Mark Hubbard (shot in his back and head with a Glock 17)
  • Numerous unidentified students and faculty (shot at and attempted to kill; escaped and were rescued)
  • Numerous responding officers (held at gunpoint and attempted to shoot; arrested Wilton instead)
  • Horatio Caine (held at gunpoint and attempted to shot; arrested Wilton instead)

Known Accomplices[]

  • Mark Hubbard (deceased)
  • Nick Gordon (incarcerated)
  • Ben Gordon (incarcerated)
  • Jared Hatch (incarcerated)

Trivia[]

  • Eric Laden, the actor portraying Wilden, would later go on to portray antagonist Jamie Wright in the hit crime/mystery series The Killing.
  • Wilton seems to be heavily based off teen gang leader Kevin Foster, the gang Foster lead being "The Lords of Chaos", responsible for various petty and property-destroying crimes before assassinating school band director and army veteran Mark Schwabs, who planned to report the boys to the police after stopping an attempted vandalism at the school
  • Wilton also appears to be based on Eric Harris, one of the Columbine High School shooters. His gang activity before the school shooting appears to allude to how Harris was involved in a group of thugs known as the "Trenchcoat Mafia", which was reported to be more of highly sensationalized publicity than fact when connecting it to the shooting. However, the Columbine massacre is notorious for occurring on Hitler's birthday, like the shooting Wilton executed on his school but failed to kill anyone in.
