Josh Brockner is the murderer of Mia Graham, appearing in Triple Threat in CSI:Miami.

History[]

Josh Brockner worked as head of construction for Dominic Whitford, a socialite and contractor notorious on the scene. He was always envious of one of his immediate superiors, Mia Graham, vying for her position as Dominic's immediate assistant. One day, she informed Brockner she intended to keep her job by whispering in Whitford's ear Brocker was only great at machine work, he snapped and struck her in her head when she turned her back, killing her instantly. He then dismembered her once she was dead, burying her at one of Whitford's sites, hoping she'd never be found once the project was built. He then took her position once she went missing. He helped Whitford hire Greg Ramsey to get cosmetically remodeled to be a doppelganger for Whitford. He was first scene in line for fingerprinting when Ramsey was shot and killed, everyone but him assuming he was Whitford. He introduced to Horatio Caine, offering whatever information and resources they needed, Caine replying with they can ask just fine being the investigators and all and to get back in line. When Ramsey was found out, Brockner was in for interrogation where he admitted who he really was. When Calleigh Duquesne pressed for Whitford's whereabouts, Brockner caved and forsook his client's anonymity by revealing he was at the construction site where Graham was buried. This sealed his fate when she was found by the cadaver dogs on Caine's orders and his print was found on a broken piece of a saw he used to dismember her lodged in one place in her body. When Caine confronted him, he first tried to evade admission. but when he was confronted with motive, he admitted he never assumed they'd recover her and catch him, to which Caine simply said his kind of killer is too confident to assume that. He's then arrested and incarcerated.

Modus Operandi[]

Brockner, in a blitz and out of rage, killed Graham by blunt force trauma with one strike to her head. He then dismembered her postmortem with a motorized saw while she was laid on a tarp, buried at a site of Whitford's in pieces hoping she'd be built on top of.
