When a suspect was discovered in the room and attacked Catherine into pushing her into the victim's blood, Akers attempts to catch the suspect but he got away and Warrick Brown soon scolds Akers for not clearing the scene properly and leaving Catherine alone like how an officer left a CSI to the same mistake and ended up being killed, but Catherine takes the blame for him.

When Langston got a call and took off, Akers retorts to Nick that the latter was now stranded.

The following morning, Akers accompanies Nick and Greg as they search a vacant house not far from Arvin's farm, where they discover the rest of the body parts.
