He introduced himself to Catherine Willows and explains he was having chili when he responded and when he got a little sick, Catherine sends him out for fresh air. When a suspect was discovered in the room and attacked Catherine into pushing her into the victim's blood, he attempts to catch the suspect but he got away and Warrick Brown soon scolds him for not clearing the scene properly and leaving Catherine alone like how an officer left a CSI to the same mistake and ended up being killed but Catherine takes the blame for him.

Season Five[]

Compulsion[]

Andy accompanies Greg Sanders as they run surveillance on a double rape and murder suspect outside a café, briefly having a conversation about the killer's semen in the victims' bodies before the suspect leaves, and they collect the suspect's coffee cup.

Season Eleven[]

Shock Waves[]

Akers was among the many officers to attend Officer Clark's funeral before the bombs go off. Later on, he greets Catherine and Greg when they're called to a homeless man's death, which is later revealed to be a trap.

Sqweegel[]

Akers meets up with Nick when they discover a paramedic's red sports car before they notice blood inside and gives Nick his nightstick to break into it.

House of Hoarders[]

Akers and Mitch head to a hoarder's house to evict her, but the front door is blocked by the hoarder's amount of clutter when Akers tries to kick in the door.

Father of the Bride[]

Akers waits at Arvin Thorpe's, father of Nate Haskell, farm when the latter discovered body parts, and Nick and Langston arrive late when a cow blocked their path, leading to Akers hoping they didn't run over it. When Langston got a call and took off, Akers retorts to Nick that the latter was now stranded.

The following morning, Akers accompanies Nick and Greg as they search a vacant house not far from Arvin's farm, where they discover the rest of the body parts.

In a Dark, Dark House[]

Akers is one of the many officers to respond to Nate Haskell's murder, and escorts Ray and Gloria down the stairs, complying with Brass' order not to let them speak to anyone.

Season Thirteen[]

Code Blue Plate Special[]

Akers and Metcalf were at Frank's Diner, speaking with Connie, who shows them pictures of her grandchildren before they leave and notice a waitress was supposed to be off, but she was being stalked by Ronald Basderic. When he and Metcalf prepare to confront him, they discover he already left before leaving to respond to a call. They return when the owner called them to get him out of a walk-in fridge, accompanied by Greg, Nick, and Sara, only to find their fellow patrons and friends dead. Brass later reprimands the two before telling them to find Basderic, thinking he was responsible.
