Russell Keener is a violent child assault offender appearing in Dead on Arrival on CSI:Miami.

Keener is an ex-con responsible for attacking young Marjorie Kemp in a brutal assault, in a physical attack that left her with a zigzag scar behind her ear and presumably also with pedophilically sadistic overtones, which could imply sexual trauma as well. Keener was arrested and served time before being paroled, with Kemp changing her name to Kaitlyn Sawyer and continuing with her life.

While channel-surfing, Keener saw Sawyer on The Marrying Kind where she was competing to marry a bachelor, Keener immediately recognizing her by the scar under her ear. Intending to "teach her a lesson", Keener started stalking Sawyer on set, eventually becoming a suspect in the murder of the winning contestant, Grace Carlson. Her killer was caught, but Keener eventually kidnapped Sawyer and held her hostage.

Frank Tripp tracked Sawyer's and Keener's records, causing Horatio Caine and Ryan Wolfe to rush to Sawyer's rescue. They tracked Sawyer and Keener to the docks, where Wolfe arrested Keener and Caine rescued Sawyer from an ice container she was bound and gagged in, promising her Keener would go to prison for life.

Keener was charged and incarcerated for his crimes.
