Stu Evans is a building super and murderer.

History[]

Stu killed his wife just for being a bother to him, then stuffed her remains in one of the brine tanks in the apartment complex he managed. One of the apartments in Stu's building was covered in sprays of blood, which led to the CSIs being called in. It was unrelated to Stu's wife being murdered and her remains being missing, as tenant Cliff Renteria, who could spray his nosebleeds since he was infected with Hep C, got revenge for Stu's negligence of building maintenance by staining his apartment with his own blood.

But bugs crawling throughout the apartment laying eggs and vomiting blood revealed someone was dead in the building and the bugs were feeding off them. The team demolishes the walls and floors of all the apartments looking for Stu's wife, especially after she's revealed to be missing and Brass gets the needed warrant. Grissom gets furious from not knowing where the dead woman is, despite finding a bloody blanket behind Stu's apartment walls after replastering to hide evidence and clean the scene. But he realizes from the water only being cold the plumbing and tanks are where she's being hidden. Stu's wife is found inside the brine tank, dead and covered with the bugs eating her remains. Stu bitterly says "she nagged me", giving up with that confession. Grissom is horrified by Stu's disregard for her life, and Stu is arrested and incarcerated for murder.
