Walter Simms is a deceased serial killer and a recurring theme referenced in Ghosts of the Past in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

History[]

Little is revealed about Simms, except for that he was once a serial killer of seven boys, whom he eviscerated and mounted alive on meat hooks. He also kidnapped and brainwashed Jonathan Harris, another boy he forced to lure his dead victims to their doom. The bodies of the boys were soon found and he was killed in a shootout with the police. He would later be referenced regularly when Harris committed his own killings in adulthood, to hide his identity once he changed it to Thomas Pope and bought the slaughterhouse the boys were imprisoned and murdered in.

Modus Operandi[]

Simms targeted preteen and teen boys whom he had Jonathan Harris, who was kidnapped and brainwashed by unspecified means, lure for Simms to abduct. They would be murdered by being impaled and eviscerated alive on meat hooks in an abandoned slaughterhouse he held all eight boys captive in, the dead boys being left suspended on the hooks postmortem.

Known Victims[]

  • Jonathan Harris (kidnapped, brainwashed, and forced to assist in his crimes; was rescued)
  • Seven unnamed boys (impaled on meat hooks and disemboweled alive)
